Urban Decay, Celebrity Politics, and the Future of Governance: A Call for Balance
Can Portland, Oregon truly be called “America’s Mumbai”? Join me, Chad Law, as I recount my journey writing a book that explores the once-vibrant city now grappling with urban decay, homelessness, and drug addiction. Portland's struggles offer a glaring example of how political supermajorities can lead to urban decline, and how the migration of blue voters from cities like Portland is reshaping the political landscape across America. This episode isn't just about critiquing the chaos; it's a call for balanced governance to prevent such downfalls.
Ever wondered how much celebrity influence really matters in politics? We’re talking about the likes of Meghan McCain and Tim McGraw, questioning their authenticity and impact. From allegations against John McCain to McGraw's subtle liberal messaging, this episode scrutinizes those who seem to use their platforms for political leverage. Let’s break down the perceived betrayals and call for genuine contributions to political discourse, steering clear of the hypocrisy that seems all too common.
Taxes, wealth, and the controversial approaches to homelessness take center stage as I dissect proposals like Kamala Harris’s wealth tax and contrast Denver’s Housing First initiative with Douglas County’s "Handouts Don't Help" campaign. Are traditional aid methods truly effective, or do they hinder progress? Explore these pressing issues with me, and stick around for some spirited college football banter and a Reagan-inspired call to action. Brace yourself for a lively and thought-provoking discussion that challenges conventional perspectives.
As your president. I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology. Believe me, and I have to say as a Republican, it is so nice to hear you cheering for what I just said. Thank you.
Speaker 3:It's time. From Newport Beach, california, the sun is shining, the beaches are packed and the waves are rolling in, all while the last gay conservative prepares to share more truth with America. He's America's binary brother, the holiest homo and the gayest conservative of all time working to restore common sense conservative politics in the American household. Welcome to the Last Gay Conservative Podcast. Here's your host, chad Law.
Speaker 4:Hello America and we are back. Podcast is back on, nationally syndicated, spreading our truth throughout all of the US. I'm so excited to be back. I'm so excited that we finished the book. For those of you who don't know, I've been off this whole time because I was offered an opportunity to work on a book about living and breathing and experiencing life in what I call America's Mumbai, which is Portland, oregon, and really the concept and the study that we've been doing is of these super majorities and what's happening with these super majorities that's causing cities to go beyond recognition. Portland used to be a thriving, cool, funky, creative city where brands like Nike could thrive and get creative people and talented people wanted to live there. Not anymore. It is America's Mumbai, and if you don't know what Mumbai looks like, look it up People are laying around sick amputees by. Looks like look it up, people are laying around sick amputees.
Speaker 4:Now, the cause of the Indian issues, just to be clear, is not drugs, like it really is here. Drugs are the cause of the homelessness, in my opinion, here, 90% of the homeless population here is addicted to drugs some form of meth, crack or fentanyl, opiate and they don't want to be homed. They don't want to be housed, they don't care, they want to be high and they don't want to be sober. And these are the decisions that they're making now in India. It's purely economic, it's macroeconomic, but the visual should be the same, which is no middle class. Extreme poverty all around you all the time. Sick people all around you all the time. Here it's druggies all around you all the time. It stinks. The trash pickup is terrible. 911 takes three hours to get someone on the phone. Forget about calling non-emergency, god forbid.
Speaker 4:The other day I had someone who literally parked in front of my driveway. I could not get out. I had a very, very important meeting. I could not get out and I could not get one person from the city to come out and move this car. What if it was an emergency and I was trying to get my animals out? It's disgusting. Meeting the needs of everyday people cannot simply happen here, because all the resources have been shifted to the wrong populations. It's sick and I've got some really funny stories.
Speaker 4:I actually took the structure from one of my favorite books it's called A Year in the Merred which was about a man, an Englishman, who lived in France and Paris, and the reason why he says Merred Merred is shit and Parisians are notorious for not picking up their dog poop. So he was there and stepping in dog poop all the time it's very, very common in the more residential suburbs of Paris. So he wrote this kind of blog book. That went viral and I loved it and I thought I should do the same thing with Portland and got an agreement together and got funded and yeah, so that's what we've been up to.
Speaker 4:But it's way more fun for me to talk than write. I got to tell you this is my favorite thing in the whole world. I love being on the air. Can't tell you how honored I am to have that privilege.
Speaker 4:But on the flip side, when you're writing, it's really difficult to get yourself out of the mindset that I'm in here, which is basically liberals are destroying everything. There's a, you know, socioeconomic agenda occurring in America right now that has people focused on things like trans and abortion and things that have nothing to do with the day-to-day lives of hardworking American people like you and I, and it's really sad to see. And when you're writing, you can't write with so much bias. It has to be factual and listen, I'm sure you can fact check me on a million things on this show, but I try my best. I do. I try my very best to be as factually accurate as possible when I'm speaking, but it's always going to have my opinion on it, and it's weird to write without such a strong sense of opinion, because the book isn't just shit on everything liberal in Portland.
Speaker 4:The book is why are we here, how did we get here and how is this supermajority on the left-hand side causing this? And the supermajorities on the right-hand side is just as bad. Okay, that's what democracy is. We need both sides. We have to have both fighting each other, healthy, healthy competition, healthy fighting between each other, which would then results in policy that everyone can get behind, because it was an effort and we fought for it. So whenever you have one side, like in California, it creates these messes.
Speaker 4:Now I believe that the supermajority sort of push and destruction is all intentional, trying to shape the electorate by pushing blue voters out of the cities because they're too horrible to live in and pushing them into places like Montana, nevada, arizona, idaho, where you would have traditional red or traditional purple, like in Nevada, go all the way blue, and that's what's happened. All the Californians that have moved to Montana are now voting in policy. That's exactly like what they voted on in California to create the hellscape that they escaped from. Same thing in Idaho, with Oregonians leaving Portland moving to Boise. Same thing, and you've seen it in Las Vegas or, excuse me, not just Las Vegas, and all of Nevada. Nevada was has always been a traditionally right in the middle, but a little bit more right, and now it's going blue. Um, arizona, who I never would have thought 10 years ago or more that Arizona would be a blue state. It's fully blue Now it's not even purple, and it's all because the Democrats love to use destruction as a way to introduce socialism, and we'll talk about it a little bit later.
Speaker 4:But Rush is the one who really turned me on to this when they were really working on Obamacare and trying to sell this sort of government option, and he said look, obamacare is designed to fail. It will not work. It will fail. You can't have boundaries around the states this way and it's designed to fail. It will not work. It will fail. You can't have boundaries around the states this way and it's designed to fail on purpose because after it fails, they can present their next best thing, which is a government option not going back.
Speaker 4:Same with the electric vehicle situation that's happening right now. Hey, these car makers made a mistake. They made way too many of these two expensive ones. So we have to come in and control the means of production. We see it with fossil fuels now. Our government essentially controls the means of production of fossil fuels. They don't own the businesses. However, they determine who can drill on the land and where and how much and how often, which is the means of production.
Speaker 4:So I don't want to get too far into the socialism thing, but there is a very purposeful effort on the left to destroy cities like Portland, seattle, los Angeles, san Francisco and push people that are traditionally blue voters into red areas to start voting blue and change the electorate. We just heard Tim Waltz say the Electoral College needs to be abolished. They've been saying that forever. Democrats have always wanted to abolish the Electoral College and, unfortunately for us, they know that they can't. It's never going to happen. So what they're doing now is they're using the power of destruction and crime and drugs and immigrants to push voters into areas that they traditionally could not win and turn them blue or purple. And that is exactly what's happening out there. You know, guys, I love the celebrity drama when it comes to the election some Taylor Swift news, as well as Tim McGraw my favorite his daughters and Megan McCain all equally stupid. We'll talk about it when we come back after these words.
Speaker 4:I think most of you know I've been fighting mental health issues my entire life, primarily clinical depression. Recently, I've done a lot of work on figuring out why and how I can make sure this doesn't continue to impact my life as I get older. The number one cause for clinical depression is poor sleep. So the first thing I did was go out and get the best bed, and that's the sleep number. I ended up with the I-8. There's many options.
Speaker 4:Go on sleepnumbercom. They are the only truly technology-driven sleep company in the world, with boutiques all over the country where you can lay in their beds and they will map out a total sleep plan which has been proven to add an additional 30 minutes to your sleep every night when followed. Guys, this is not something that you want to cheap out on. Get the best bed possible. They have a 20-year guarantee. They've been around for over 20 years and they've always been the leader in sleep technology.
Speaker 4:If you're feeling tired, if you're feeling down, if you're feeling low, if you're feeling sluggish, chances are it directly relates to the bed. If you're feeling tired, if you're feeling down, if you're feeling low, if you're feeling sluggish, chances are it directly relates to the bed that you're sleeping on. Do yourselves a favor go on sleepnumbercom and find the right products for your sleep. Their prices go from entry level all the way up to seriously advanced, even beyond my budget. Folks. Go to sleepnumbercom, take the quiz, check out one of their boutiques and start sleeping right and feeling better. All right, we're back.
Speaker 4:You know, one thing that drives me crazy is how relevant as a party we've kept some of these, what I call uniparty losers the McConnells, the Bushes, the Clintons, the Obamas, basically, anyone post-Reagan, pre-trump is what I call uniparty, and they're all in it and they all think they've got something to offer. Look at Liz Cheney an idiot. Yet the news still covers her, picks it up, talks about her, gives her credit. Well, imagine my surprise when I'm scrolling through the news and I see a story about Meghan McCain, who is the chubby daughter of John McCain, the war hero. Slash sellout to the cartels. Slash sellout to the cartels as well as, in my opinion, criminal politician I think John McCain is. Now it's become very clear that he was so far from the pure image that he tried to portray of himself that it's disgusting the stuff that he did in Arizona.
Speaker 4:So, anyways. So his big fat daughter, megan, gets on Twitter and she's so upset because Kamala is using her dad's stories and she's going to spill the tea again. Who cares what your tea is? Who cares what your dead Senator dad thought about Kamala Harris? Nobody cares. No one cares about you. Well, apparently they do, because thousands of people are talking about it. And then this is news because she tweeted hey, I know the Democrats like to use my father's image as a way to support their candidacies, but I'm going to start spilling tea about what my dad really thought about Kamala. This is your last warning. Uh-oh, I bet Kamala Harris and their campaign is so scared.
Speaker 4:Meghan McCain failed broadcasting career, failed at everything she's ever done, handed, everything she's ever gotten. Just a sorry excuse for a human being. I think she missed her calling as the Lane Bryant spokesperson let's put it that way. But regardless, she's a total hack and she's threatening Kamala Harris because she thinks she's relevant. And my point here, people, is when are these freaks going to go away? When can we say goodbye to the McConnell's, goodbye to the Clinton's, goodbye to the Bush's, goodbye to the Obama's? Why can't we say goodbye? We don't want uniparty people anymore representing us and they still have a stronghold. Look at Karl Rove. Fox continually employs Karl Rove and he has been proven to be the worst election predictor in the planet. He sat there and said there is no way calculable for Donald Trump to win in 2020 when he destroyed Hillary Clinton. He sat there, bold faced, and yet we still give him a platform a total failure. But because he has that name from back in the uniparty days, they think there's some sort of credibility there. There is not. Liz Cheney, same thing. Get rid of these people, stop following them, stop retweeting, stop commenting. And for Meghan McCain to sit there and think that she's got any legs to stand on Her father. If some of the things that I have learned in the last year came out publicly about her father when he was still alive, he would be in jail. There is direct correlation from Senator John McCain to the head of the Mexican cartels that cross through Arizona and feed all of America with fentanyl, drugs and all sorts of other illegal substances and weapons, etc. He created all of that with the cartels, conspiracy or not, we'll get more into it.
Speaker 4:I've got a guest coming in a couple of episodes to talk about it, but it's true. And so, yeah, kamala harris is shaking in her boots because megan mccain fired a warning shot on twitter. I personally think I would have preferred megan mccain to endorse kamala on behalf of her and her dead father. I also think it would be better if she agreed with Kamala that her dead father liked her, because people who traditionally like John McCain are not people we want in our party or voting for our candidates. She did us a real disservice there by acting like she's still a Republican, and I'm just so tired of the phonies. I'm so tired of the phonies that use us, use the conservative movement for their own selfish reasons and then don't take the support that they receive from us and use it for good.
Speaker 4:Another primary example I don't know if you guys saw Tim excuse me, I can't say it without vomiting Tim McGraw. Tim McGraw on Instagram the other day talking subtly not so subtly about his stance on the woman's right to choose, which is totally within his rights. He can have an opinion. My issue is that he's a mega donor to all liberal causes. He's totally pro-choice, all the way up to late term abortions. He's a total nut job, the country base of people who like his music, support and put it into causes and efforts that have nothing to do with, or help the base of people that put him on top. How does that happen? He's like the OJ Simpson of the black community. He doesn't want to be country. He doesn't want anything to do with conservatism or Southern values. All he cares about is propping up his liberal agenda, and that's what this whole new song that he just wrote is about we are the world, or whatever it is. I say it's a redneck version of Michael Jackson's we Are the World. It is so stupid and it's trying to be all about unity. And what's happening now is now his daughters are getting on and making comments about politics as well, and they do this sort of secret, subtle thing because they can't come out and directly say it, because there'll be a huge overthrow. Tim McGraw's whole career will turn out the exact same way Bud Light did.
Speaker 4:If people knew how extremely liberal this guy is. If people knew how extremely liberal this guy is. And now his kids, who are influencers, are peddling this crap. At the same time, people say, well, it's just abortion. That doesn't mean he's liberal on everything. Well, yes, it does. He is liberal on everything and the only reason why all these liberal celebrities fall back on pro-choice is because it's a sort of cheap, disgusting way of hitching their wagon onto the only election sort of piece or platform that works for the DNC, which is abortion and pro-choice. They've done a better job of convincing women. It's a lie. But they've done a better job of convincing women that Roe v Wade and pro-choice or pro-life is about rights and not about the infant or the child. I'm not going to get into a big debate about that. Celebrities using abortion as a way to support Kamala and the DNC, because it is the only thing that some people who matter in this election resonate with on that side. That's it. It's a powerful message, but it is a big ode to Kamala.
Speaker 4:So is his new song. I saw someone on the news the other day comparing his new song to the Coke commercial where everyone held hands around the world. I don't even remember that. All I remember from that is Mad Men ended with that campaign. It was a bizarre ending that show.
Speaker 4:But anyways, add, I think that Tim McGraw is scary. I think people like this are very scary. Talk about the enemy within the wolf in sheep's clothing. People don't realize that this guy is dangerous and his entire base of people for the most part are Trump supporters and people who love this country, and he's taken advantage of that for many, many years, while then spitting in the faces of his fans by supporting this outlandish crap. And the stuff that really gets me is he's Mr PC, mr, we are all one.
Speaker 4:Yet one of his number one songs is called Indian Outlaw and it is the epitome of cultural appropriation. It is racist. Just using Indian is racist. He talks about how he's the bear claw. If that song was from someone like Toby Keith God rest his soul and I see him who was such a champion for our efforts, took care of his fans, just a wonderful human being and someone who epitomizes really what country culture is all about and uplifting people and making people happy and having fun Toby Keefe was all about that. However, if his song was Indian Outlaw, it would have already been canceled. It would have been removed off the air. There would have been a big, you know, outcry about it. But because Tim McGraw is a liberal, they don't mess with him, so he can say and do whatever he wants and not get canceled. But in my opinion, the song is extremely racist and I would be offended if I was, as he calls them, an Indian or a Native American.
Speaker 4:So we've got worthless Meghan McCain hurting our campaign by saying that her dad did not like Kamala, because we know her dad's disciples are the same as the people who are supporting Kamala always have been. Then we've got Tim McGraw and his daughters and wife on a pro-choice rally throughout their fans, in subtle ways to impact the election without coming on too strong, completely going against the values of their base, the audience, the people who have made them millionaires and successful. And then today I get up and I read that Taylor Swift is buying, or just got green lit to buy, a majority share in the Chiefs. What's that? Oh, excuse me, it's not majority share. She has the permission to buy into the chiefs. It could be 1%, it could be 90%. That is not a fact.
Speaker 4:But regardless to me what this demonstrates, because the entire time she's been dating Travis Kelsey which, by the way he talked about scum of the earth, degenerate him and her, him and his brother, both can't stand them. That podcast, oh my gosh, it is so bad. I'm sorry. I'm sorry if you like it but I hate it, but travis kelsey, travis kelsey, mr pfizer and taylor swift have basically been seen at every game for the last year and their entire relationship has been wrapped around the nfl and people say, well, that's a quote. She's dating an NFL player, right, but he's also dating a billionaire pop star. So in that sense, you would think it would go one way and the other way, which means Travis at all of her concerts for a year, her at all of his games for a year a lot of public outings. We don't see any of that. All we see is Taylorlor swift at nfl football games, quote-unquote, supporting her boyfriend.
Speaker 4:They don't look romantic to me. I don't. I mean, this is completely my opinion. Taylor swift to me is like a robot. I don't think that she is fully human. There's something extra terrestrial about her or something, because she doesn't seem to exude genuine emotion ever. All of her works, all of the imagery, everything is very, very clean, sanitized and everything she touches turns to gold, which is awesome. Don't get me wrong. I am no one to ever deter from someone's success, and she is a brilliant songwriter and singer.
Speaker 4:Okay, on the record, some of her music I find catchy, but the point that I'm trying to make here, when this celebrity segment, is that people like Taylor Swift go out and they endorse Kamala Harris for whatever reason. Pop stars think they're politically savvy, so she goes out and she endorses Kamala Harris. Well, all we know about Taylor Swift this point in her career is that every decision she's ever made, both in her personal life quote unquote and her professional life, has been about money. There's a financial gain or incentive in there for her supporting the Democrats there has to be and there's a financial gain and incentive for her for dating Travis Kelsey, who is a top top linebacker in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs, a team in which she aspires to own either a piece of olive or whatever it is. All I'm saying here is that if her romantic relationship can be fake, based around money, then there's absolutely no way that her political endorsement was genuine and not having something to do with financial gain, either because that's what she's all about Same with Travis Kelsey, that's what he's all about or he wouldn't have signed with Pfizer and essentially supported the deaths of thousands of Americans, and still the sickness and the continual death of thousands of Americans because they received the COVID-19 vaccine. These aren't just my conspiracies, folks. This is out there in black and white on the Times of India all about Taylor Swift and her phony relationship with Travis Kelsey the Hindu Times as well. You know India. They have an obsession with Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift. So it's good information and it really breaks down the fact that this person is a brutal, capitalist, billionaire singer who will do and say anything for the almighty dollar. All right, I got to take a quick break, we'll be back.
Speaker 4:After these words, ron and I were at the dog park yesterday and it was interesting to see how many dogs were stopping and scratching and licking. And I tell their owners it's 100% diet. Look at Ron. Ron's going to be eight this year. He looks like he's two years old, he acts like he's two years old. And you all know why he eats Darwin's's raw pet food. He's never had kibble in his life.
Speaker 4:Kibble is filled with cancer-causing ingredients that slow your dog down, slow their digestion system down, slow their immune system down and ultimately lead to a shorter, unhealthier life. When your dog eats Darwin's raw, you will see they are more energetic, their coats are shinier, they're not itching, their breath is better, just like humans. 99% of health issues with dogs can be tracked back to nutrition. Take your dog's nutrition seriously. You can go on darwinspetcom right now and try one of their sampler packs. They're only $15. And if you don't see a difference immediately, then just go back to your old way, but I promise you will. Folks, if you want your dog to live longer, if you want your dog to feel better, if you want your dog to be happier, if you want to be happy and you want to save money from constant vet visits, skin issues and digestive issues, take your dog off the kibble and put them on Darwin's Raw Pet Food today. Again, that's Darwin's Raw. They have operators standing by and their website is very, very easy and educational to navigate. Once again, that's darwinspetcom.
Speaker 4:The other thing that really bothers me about all these loser, billionaire endorsements of Kamala Harris is do you really think they believe that she's going to tax them? Do you think Taylor Swift, who is a billionaire? Any of the Kardashians, any of Hollywood? Do you think any of them really think that they're going to have to pay more and endorse that same candidate? Does that make any sense to you? No, none of these people will pay more taxes. That's it. That's why these people support her, because she does exactly what they do. They pretend to care, they don't care. They don't care and they endorse Kamala Harris because they know that her fair share is just bullshit and that's the only tax plan she has is to increase revenue by taxing the wealthy. So it's a perfect timing to sort of talk about the tax implications of both Donald Trump and Kamala's economic plans. You look at Donald Trump's plans no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on social security, all things that everyday people experience. Kamala's answer is to tax the wealthy, the billionaire's, tax their fair share.
Speaker 4:Interestingly enough, the Guardian just published a report about a couple of years of tax law. It looks like last year, norway imposed a 1.1% wealthy on their multimillionaires 1.1% tax increase for, again, their multimillionaires, their rich of the rich, the fair share. You know they imposing that fair share. Well, guess what happened? The budgetary office in Norway said that by adding that 1.1%, they would be able to garner an additional 150 million, 146 to be specific but they'll be able to garner an additional $146 million in annual yearly tax revenue. That was the raise the government wanted to give itself. Well, what happened? They all moved, they all left Again. Just here it is right in the article, as it happened Norway's wealth tax that cost the country more than half a billion in annual collections resulted from a 1.1 imposition on the wealthiest, leading the likes of billionaire Kjell Angirok, who said in an open letter I've chosen Lugano Switzerland free market, go figure as my new residence.
Speaker 4:It is neither the cheapest nor the lowest taxes, but in return it is a great place with a central location in Europe. For those close to the company and to me, I am just a click away. Point being is that Lugano is in Switzerland and Switzerland is the most free market in all of Europe and it's not part of the European Union. And no, their taxes are not cheap or low in Switzerland. But guess what the people of Switzerland get in return from the government their fair share, their fair share of good education, their fair share of roads, their fair share of universities, their fair share of infrastructure, their fair share of jobs, their fair share of infrastructure, their fair share of jobs. See what I'm saying. In Switzerland they pay a lot, but they get a lot. Here we pay more and more every year and as a nation we spend more on taxes alone when you include all of the penalties and all of the taxes and all of the fees that are continually assessed on us than anything else. The government is our number one payee Isn't that sick? And she wants to implement additional taxes on the wealthy regardless of that.
Speaker 4:Now, what's even more interesting is that $54 billion worth of wealth left the country with it. So in the one yearly tax revenue they lost 600 million, 594 million. And but because of that, not only did they lose that, but over time and overall assets and wealth, they lost $54 billion. Or whatever money they use in Norway the Euro that was real was really, uh, making me sound very educated. There they use the norwegian dollar, they use the mark. So, folks, you see that's just 1.1 percent.
Speaker 4:And then I'm looking here. Even snopes and you guys know I've done a whole episode on snopes, what a joke, they are bs. But even snopes has come out and said if they were to follow the vice president, kamala Harris's proposal, it would include a whopping 25% unrealized capital gains tax on those worth a net worth of 100 million or more. So here we have Norway. They add a 1.1%, let's say, billionaire's tax, and not only do they lose 600 million for the year, they also lose 54 billion because these other countries are like yeah sure, come on, bring your wealth. Why wouldn't they? It's not like they go crawling back. It's not like they have people who don't have anywhere to go. So they lose. Basically, they lose a significant amount of their GDP in wealth and assets, and that's just from 1.1 percent, and that's a much smaller population of billionaires as well. So are you hearing this? 1.1 percent and then 25 percent.
Speaker 4:She's looking at imposing a 25 percent unrealized capital gains tax on anyone with a net worth of 100 million or more. It's crazy, it's crazy, it's crazy. All that money and all those jobs will go away. We've seen this before, folks. We saw it with Clinton when he sold us out to China, and we're still losing that trade deficit by billions and billions of dollars. The more taxes you impose on the wealthy, the people that are keeping the economy going, the more you will lose. And if we elect Kamala Harris, you can imagine 54 billion left Norway. Think of how much money is going to be moved out of this country. The dollar will devalue. It already is. It's already happening, but it's going to be even worse.
Speaker 4:You know, I think that's what irritates me the most out of this election is the media is pretending like Trump didn't already have another four years first. So actually you're comparing someone who had four years in office against someone who had four years in office vice president, president. And when you go down the line economy, jobs, trade, international conflict, health, income, investments, stock market value of the dollar he wins by a thousand times every time. The only people that are holding up Kamala Harris are single issue idiots that care more about abortion than they do about the economic future of this country. And the funny thing is is there's been more abortions since after Roe v Wade than there was from before Roe v Wade. It's just sick. These people are so crazy I see them on TV. It's so easy. It's four years and four years, what's better. Who would want to continue this crap? No one is happier, happier, no one. So when you get all of the guilt trips and from your liberal friends, you know all this billionaire stuff let them know what happened in Norway. That's just another example.
Speaker 4:And the other funny thing too is Kamala Harris did some consulting for the government of the Bahamas when she was working in California, and guess what her recommendations were for them to increase their popularity, safety, tourism, economic growth and opportunity, free market. You should read the report, folks. She told them to open, deregulate, deregulate, deregulate and open the floodgates. That's what she told them to do, but she's telling us that we need Medicare for all the billionaires need to pay for everyone's college loans. We've never been a something-for-nothing country. That's not who we are. We are not a something-for-nothing country, and the second we become one is the second. We're no longer a great country. People need to understand that.
Speaker 4:Democracy as we know it has taken centuries to create. The power struggle between the masses and the ruling class is a consistent theme throughout history, and we've learned through that time that when the ruling class has no limits, things get really, really crappy. That's why liberals care more about their ruling class than they do about all the rest of the stuff that we're talking about, and it just happens that ruling class has the most money and the most power and the most influence, so it's always made to seem like whatever their agenda is is the right agenda, but that is not the case, and I think it's very, very apparent here in this election. This is a socialist. She said she's a socialist. She endorsed Bernie Sanders. This woman is so radical, and hitching yourself to tampon Tim isn't going to help. And for anyone who believes that Donald Trump is destroying democracy. Let me ask you this question how many members of the DNC, how many Democrats, registered Democrats around the country, had an opportunity to tell the party in a primary election who they wanted to run? Zero Trump went through the primary process with everyone else Nikki Haley, all the rest of them, kamala has been. Essentially, she's been appointed to every position she's ever had.
Speaker 4:But my point is is that everything you hear is the opposite? I tell people all the time go watch the news If you want to know what to do in life or what's happening in this country. Go watch the news and do the opposite. Reminds me of that episode of Seinfeld where George Costanza decides to do everything opposite from what his natural inclinations would be and he gets a job with the New York Yankees. He starts dating this gorgeous woman, his friendship improves, then he gets married, or anyways. You know the story. The bottom line is is that, as a nation and anything that you hear, any natural inclination of a Democrat you have to do the opposite, and everything you're hearing right now is coming from some sort of Democrat mouthpiece. Do the opposite and understand the opposite as well. You don't even have to do anything, just know that the opposite of what they're saying is what the reality is and that's the right answer and it works. It works.
Speaker 4:But it's really scary to say in three weeks we could destroy centuries of work to keep the ruling class in check by the masses Centuries in one day by taking the world's largest and most successful democracy and inching it one step closer to this democratic, socialist position that they have. And it only benefits them because they have the control. They control the means of everything. So when you're thinking about Trump being an asshole, and you're thinking about Trump being too gruff, and you're thinking about how Trump doesn't represent America in a way that you would like him to represent and you think he's an idiot, in my opinion, and hopefully yours, none of those things, which are all merely character assassinations, no character assassination, should ever supersede policy, americanism, democracy, capitalism. If you have someone who has poor character but supports those things and I don't believe Trump has poor character, but that is how he's been painted. So that's the reality for a lot of these voters. A lot of you out there still think that he's a big, mean, tweet a-hole, and he's not. But it's not my job to change the perception of America. It's my job to set American priorities straight and tell you this it doesn't matter about the character if the meat is right. I guess what I'm trying to say ultimately is the means are always justified by the ends, and so if someone has to be really mean in order to get something really good done, then that happens. I'm not excusing any mean behavior. All I'm trying to tell you is, if you look at the deficits of each candidate, trump's are all character assassinations. Trumps are all character assassinations.
Speaker 4:Kamala cannot run on her own voting record. It's too extreme. Should hear Liz Cheney talk about her voting record. She's out now endorsing Kamala We'll talk about that in a second but she can't run on her voting record. It's too extreme. So what does she do? She runs on anti-Donald Trump. That is the default platform for people who have nothing else to run on to just attack their opponent. And abortion, that's it. If you really listen to her speak, those are the only two things she delivers with clarity Her attacks on Donald Trump's character and Roe v Wade. I mean no tax on tips. Trump is the one who said it. She comes out and says it right after him. Every single tax plan he's put out she's regurgitated and tried to take credit for All right, I'm going to take another quick break and I'll be back. After these words, I want to share a little bit of Liz Cheney news, because it's just always fun to troll her, and also talk about a new report that just came out of Colorado about homelessness. Stay tuned.

Speaker 2:Joe Biden has really been trying to portray himself as the moderate in this race, as somebody who is a centrist, and in one fell swoop here he has put somebody on the ticket whose voting record in the Senate is to the left of Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
Speaker 2:So I think that you know the American people are going to look at the substance of this. They're going to look at what she stood for in the past. They're going to look at what she said during the primary election, and it's very clear she is a radical liberal. She's somebody that has said we ought to spend $32 trillion on Medicare for all. If you look at her record as well, in California she did, in fact, essentially ban gun sales with executive action, and she threatened during the primaries to do the same thing if she's elected if she were elected here. So I do think the American people are going to take a look at this record and realize she is very much a radical liberal. Well, that's exactly the problem. I mean, she is the epitome of a San Francisco liberal. She's even farther to the left than Barack Obama was. She seems to be farther to the left than Nancy Pelosi is infringing on the Second Amendment in terms of support for abortion up until the ninth month and beyond.
Speaker 4:And we're back folks. And that was the Liz Cheney three years ago talking all about how horrible Kamala Harris is. And now she's on the campaign trail, three years later and, unfortunately, america sees right through it. The only reason she's on the campaign trail is because her life as a Republican is over. As we know it.
Speaker 4:Her father, mr Halliburton himself George W Bush's vice president, who got us into Iraq, who convinced all of us in America that there were weapons of mass destruction, dick Cheney, has always been a member of the elite. He's always been a globalist. He worked with George W Bush to grow our government exponentially, set us up for failure so we could convince the nation to welcome a known American hating Muslim president, barack Hussein Obama. So her father, who gave her the last name, did nothing great for us and he's always been in the ruling class. He's always sat on boards of huge military manufacturing companies, et cetera. He's all about him, and Liz Cheney is a perfect example. She's been given everything she wants.
Speaker 4:And people like this do not like Donald Trump, because, although Donald Trump was born into money and his father at the time gave him a million dollars to start his business, he has scaled that to a billion and he really did work his ass off. There's no one in the world that can tell you that Donald Trump just got lucky. Well, liz Cheney did just get lucky. Her entire career, her entire schooling, every acceptance, every college, everything she's ever done, has been handed to her. And so everyone says well, she was there, she saw the January 6th stuff. She saw what Trump did with her own eyes behind closed doors. She can't be lying. Well, not only is she lying, but they didn't see anything behind closed doors. We've now basically seen publicly everything that they saw, and the public has decided that it's not nearly as big of a deal as they have tried to make it.
Speaker 4:But the reason why Liz Cheney doesn't like Trump, the reason why she's so anti-Trump, is not because of January 6th you think she really cares about. The whole Capitol could burn down, thousands of people could die, and Liz Cheney would not care because she's about protecting herself, her father and that little elitist ruling class that they're in. And so I'm sure she expected something of Trump because of her last name. And when she didn't get it, she started having a hissy fit because she's used to being propped up because of the fact that she's a vice president's daughter. She's Dick Cheney's daughter and Dick Cheney is a smart man. I don't agree with any of his policies. I think he's him. Karl Rove, george W Bush again. All uniparty people never liked Cheney, but again Liz Cheney in three years has changed her tune just because she sat on a January 6th committee. No, she is not getting the elite treatment in the Republican Party that she wanted. She didn't like that.
Speaker 4:Trump started having extreme amounts of influence over people like the Huckabees, the Bushes, mccain's and all these uniparty people that thought they had a stronghold on the party and they could do and say and get away with whatever they wanted and their elections were untouched and ready to go. And then we started primarying them. And then we realized, when we started identifying rhinos, that there is a huge problem within our party of these uniparty people who don't like Trump because he doesn't give in to their expectations and they're just spoiled, whiny brats that have had everything given to them, just like Liz Cheney. I hate people like this, can't stand it and I act like you have something to offer. You have nothing to offer. You're a Congresswoman, big whoop for Wyoming, big whoop who cares? She's so irrelevant it's not even funny. Anyways, enough about that. You know, I say all the time, we are not a something for nothing country. This is not why America is great. We have all worked for where we are in one way or another. Minus Capitol Hill, liz Cheney and all her rhino friends and all her big government pals in the ruling class, they're something for nothing people. They believe they deserve something. When we know, and God knows, and in our faith we know we deserve nothing, we deserve absolutely nothing. And that is American. That is American. I don't deserve it. I'm going to go get it. So, anyways, enough talking about all these negative freaks that are out against Trump. Everything's looking great. I think Trump will be our next president. Like I said earlier, I do want to just close out on something really, really cool.
Speaker 4:The Denver Gazette just launched a report. There was a county in Denver that created a marketing campaign called Handouts Don't Help, and it was Douglas County. Within the Denver area, and for two years, from 2022 to 2024, douglas County witnessed this is right off the article a steep drop of homeless people living on the streets 86%, so it goes on to say. In a campaign to mitigate homelessness, the officials emphasized one simple message handouts don't help. They urged residents, for example, against giving money to homeless people on roadways or sidewalks. In two years they noticed a huge drop in homeless population 86% and basically the liberal response here is well, of course you cut off homeless services. There's no services, they're going to leave. Yeah, you just made our point. We can't enable people, we are enabling people to do nothing. That doesn't work.
Speaker 4:The truly homeless people here in Portland, for example, are either mentally ill or addicted to drugs. There's plenty of housing and affordable housing. So Douglas County conducted this two years against the liberal pushback, and it worked when people in the county stopped giving money to homeless people. It's incredible. It's the same with alcohol, it's the same with heroin. When you cut off the source and you push someone to the precipice out of love, out of love. This isn't mean, but when you cut someone off from their heroin, when you cut someone off from their income, they have to do something else, they have to try something else or they give up and die. That is literally the choice, and that's the only thing that's ever worked in the history of the world that I'm aware of is when people don't have a choice but to get better.
Speaker 4:I wonder if any of these idiots running for Portland City Council has read this report that probably not so conveniently highlights that handouts don't help. What a brilliant marketing campaign. It's a great way to control the homeless population, get citizens involved and let them know that their behavior is only hurting. I mean, I always go back to addiction because it's a huge part of my life, but Al-Anon taught me that a lot of my behaviors during my interactions with alcoholics in my family or outside of the household were actually enabling the alcoholic to drink more and to stay in that terrible state of addiction alcoholism. I didn't know. I don't think most people know what helps and what doesn't.
Speaker 4:And again, america is the most charitable country in the world. We are the most charitable people. We're warm. That's why there's a line out the door. There's not a line out the door to move to France because people are cold and nasty. I don't want you there. We welcome everyone, but we have to understand that giving doesn't help.
Speaker 4:And it's not just homeless, it's everything. It's student loans. You want your medical school student loans paid off? Then go do Doctors Without Borders for two years. You want your law school paid off? Go do X amount of pro bono work in a disenfranchised area. You want your MBA paid off. Go teach business classes at a community center in a poverty stricken area, teaching credential. Go teach in a school where no other teachers want to teach. Having your education paid for should be based on how you're using it to contribute to society, not just standing around.
Speaker 4:They say, oh well, it's good because when they have all this free money now they're going to put it back into the economy. First of all, that's not necessarily true. A lot of these people are getting forgiven, are borrowing from friends just to make their payments friends and family, et cetera and also they already can't afford their bill like barely can afford their bill. So they have that little extra money. It's not going back into the economy. They're either going to save it or they're going to spend it on very, very low amounts on basics, and most reports show over 50% of the borrowers applying for forgiveness are using the additional funds that they have to pay off other debts like credit cards or car payments. That doesn't help the economy.
Speaker 4:The county commissioner for Douglas County goes on to say in this article that he wanted to get on top of it because their population in 2022 was growing significantly into the hundreds of homeless people in the small rural area I wouldn't say Douglas County is small and rural, but it's smaller than, let's say, metropolitan Denver. And what they did was they created a team known as the Homeless Engagement, assistance and Resource Team and they were there to tackle the issue, but not only from the homeless side, but also from the public side, criminal side, etc. It was a cross-functional group, etc. It was a cross-functional group, unlike in Portland where if you have a homeless person masturbating in front of your business and you call the police, they send out the community helper who gives that homeless person a tent and helps redirect them from masturbating in public to their private tent. I kid you not, this happened, it's in the book. You're going to die, but it's so sad that you could take something that works so well, like we're talking about here in Douglas County, sort of do something similar, but so far out there that it doesn't work because there's no common sense approach. He also says that he recognizes that shelter is a critical component of self-reliance and self-sufficiency to start moving in that direction, whereas Mike Johnson, who's Denver's mayor, he's still pushing this housing first.
Speaker 4:Housing doesn't help, handouts don't help people. Do you know how many vacancies are in Portland? Well, it's not affordable or they have criminal records. They can't get into housing. Okay, but is it really housing? That's the issue. No, we don't have enough beds and rehabs. That's the issue. Drugs are the issue Again.
Speaker 4:Opposite of Douglas County, the mayor of Denver, johnston what's his name? Mike Johnston? Yeah, mike, mike Johnston took the opposite approach. Of course. He spent nearly $155 million on his Housing Plus campaign, or Housing First campaign, and so, from 2022 to 2023, the homeless population went up 1,000 people in the city of Denver. So that went from 5,800 to 6,500. 6,500. And then, after he spent 155 million on this homelessness campaign, they only lost 150 unsheltered people. So they still have like 6,400 after they spent 155 million, whereas Douglas County spent essentially nothing, fed them into people who knew what they were doing and it worked. But this isn't going to change anything because these people are getting all sorts of kickbacks the tent manufacturers, the disposal services, the trash services, lots of people making a lot of money off this homeless problem, and the liberals, democrats at the top are right there with their handout. Like usual, something for nothing.
Speaker 4:The article goes on to prove that Douglas County does represent the particular homeless issue that is facing all metropolitan areas at this point, which is the fact that only 20 percent of homeless people accept help. They're denying help. Roughly 20% of homeless people accept help, while some of the 80% who don't are either struggling with drug addiction or have warrants out for their arrest or have mental health issues. They also took the money and, instead of self-funding some program, they invested $1.4 million in the Aurora Homeless Navigation Campus and they bought designated beds for the homeless populations in their county. Listen to this, go figure. Take care of your own, keep your county safe. Local government that works for these people. And yet the Denver Gazette is the only newspaper that has covered this in a meaningful way, that doesn't lean one way or the other.
Speaker 4:All the other major media are calling out all these loopholes, all these things, the numbers are too small, etc. Because they can't admit when they're wrong. And homelessness is the big overarching, but there's all kinds of other things, like public drug usage, public nudity, crime, as well as panhandling. This program in Douglas County actually lowered the amount of well-known or live, if you will, panhandlers to zero. Go figure.
Speaker 4:Lone Tree is one of the cities in Douglas County and the mayor of Lone Tree says In Lone Tree, we affirm our commitment to working with Douglas County and other neighboring cities to address homelessness in the Denver metro area. Every person we can help transition from homelessness to stability represents a significant step forward. The sheriff also says homelessness is not a political issue, it's a public safety issue. We do everything that we can to keep Douglas County safe. We've added homeless navigators civilian professionals that can help navigate and connect these folks with the services they need. They also say that they have to respond to every panhandling call that they receive, which is eating up a significant amount of resources as well. From the sheriff's department. Throughout the county there are 70 signs with a barcode to report homelessness, panhandling or to donate to the Douglas County Community Homeless Foundation. It's a relief fund that supports their homeless initiative, which is working 86% reduction. We don't want to arrest anyone, the sheriff says. We want to get them those resources that they need.
Speaker 4:I think the real key to success of this program is to be proactive. Exactly, see all these other places Los Angeles, san Francisco, portland, seattle. They're all reacting to this problem and they don't know what to do because, honestly, I don't even think they understand how they got it there. I don't think they think they got it there. I think they're still blaming the pandemic COVID. How long are Democrats going to use COVID? It's just crazy. Anyways, yeah, I'll get on with it. Okay, I'm going on and on today. I know this show is a little more wacky, but we'll get back on track, guys, I promise. But needless to say, this Douglas County study is incredible. It is absolutely functioning, working. Not cheap, not small government, but it's working.
Speaker 4:But the first step is to take away the ability for these people to function. And isn't it crazy how the liberal mentality can apply it to everything, like I hear this whole thing with Israel, which we'll talk about Israel in another episode. But you know they take two state solution. We need a two state peaceful solution and meanwhile that Yahoo saying this is a criminal enterprise. We have to cut off their head, we have to cut off their source, we have to bomb their weapons away, we have to kill their leaders in order for the terrorism to stop. Don't give them their own country to run abuse more women, abuse more gays, etc. No, there's no two-state solution. Who wants to live next to that state anyways? So Israel's doing the right thing. They're cutting off the supply, cutting off the leaders, so then eventually, the people there can live a prosperous, hopefully democratic future.
Speaker 4:Even though they all voted for Hamas, they all support Hamas. Supposedly they don't. Supposedly there's a difference between Hamas and Palestinians. I don't see it, don't care.
Speaker 4:The bottom line is is that two state solutions don't work, and that is what liberals are trying to do with this homeless problem is they're trying to say, okay, these people want to be homeless. How do we get the two people to live together without crime and everything else? And you can't. There's no two state solution for housed people and homeless people. You can't govern them differently. The law is the law. Can't govern them differently. The law is the law. And it's just so funny, because that is literally their mentality about everything Split it, separate it, control it, manage it differently.
Speaker 4:You know, one thing people don't understand is when we talk about city and county and federal land, y'all know whose land. That is right. Well, go get a mirror. It's your land. These homeless people are camping on your land. We pay taxes. We own the land. America is a country owned by its people. When you write those big fat checks to the government and across the street from your house is a tent city that's brought down your value 20%. What the hell are you paying taxes for? For it to go to what? To give more resources to those tent cities? But the resources that they're giving them are just to keep them happy and placated so they stay longer, they do more damage, they deter more value and they push more people away. And that's what's happened. 187,000 people moved from Portland to Vancouver last year or the year before, I can't remember Anywho.
Speaker 4:All right, guys. Well, listen, I am so glad to be back. I will be back on first thing Monday morning. Let's go. Longhorns are playing Vanderbilt. Who's Tennessee playing, guys? Oh, and it's the Tennessee-Alabama game tomorrow. Make sure you guys watch that. That's going to be a great game. Longhorns had a disappointing loss to Georgia, which I continually said we haven't played strong enough teams and our coach decided to bench Ewers and put in Manning, which I thought was very, very weird and probably not the best decision. That last name is getting in the way of us coaching the real way, in my opinion. Well, as always, this is Chad Law, reminding you of what Reagan once said no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. Amen, god bless you, president Reagan, and may God save America.
